Role Description The Business Intelligence Project Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai , Bengaluru or Pune India. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end BI projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, data modeling, and implementation of reporting and analytics tools.
The Business Intelligence Project Lead collaborates with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical specifications, oversees data integration and ETL processes, and ensures data accuracy, consistency, and usability for decision-making.
Day-to-day activities include managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring data pipelines, troubleshooting BI issues, and continuously improving dashboards, reports, and data workflows.
The role also involves project plan, estimations, documenting processes, promoting best practices in data governance, and presenting insights and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications
- Assertive communication and project planning
- Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with data analytics to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data warehousing concepts, including architecture design and optimization of data storage solutions.
- Practical experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, ensuring reliable data integration from multiple sources.
- Expertise in data modeling, including designing and maintaining logical and physical data models for BI and reporting.
- Experience leading BI or analytics projects, including project planning, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
- Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar) and SQL for querying and building dashboards and reports.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality standards, and best practices in documentation and version control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in oil & gas or BFSI industry is a plus.
