We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, dashboards, reports, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI / Tableau / Qlik.
Build and optimize ETL workflows using tools like SSIS, Informatica, Talend, ADF, or equivalent.
Create robust data models (star, snowflake) to support analytical and reporting needs.
Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and performance-tuning queries.
Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files, cloud platforms).
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability across BI deliverables.
Implement row-level security (RLS), data governance, and data validation best practices.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business teams to deliver end-to-end BI solutions.
Support production BI systems, perform troubleshooting, and optimize performance.
Document BI processes, technical specs, and maintain version control for BI artifacts.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of experience as a BI Developer or in a similar data/analytics role.
Strong expertise in at least one BI visualization tool:
Power BI (preferred) / Tableau / Qlik.
Expertise in SQL (joins, CTEs, windows functions, performance tuning).
Experience in ETL development using SSIS, Informatica, Talend, ADF, or similar tools.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and OLAP principles.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP (Azure preferred).
Experience with DAX, M Query (if Power BI).
Familiarity with CI/CD for BI, version control (Git), and DevOps pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Python or R for data processing / automation.
Knowledge of Databricks, Azure Synapse, or similar big-data platforms.
Understanding of metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
