Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Power BI/Tableau Developer role based in India. The Power BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients. Daily responsibilities include gathering and analyzing reporting requirements, modeling data, creating efficient data sets, and optimizing Power BI/Tableau solutions for performance and usability. The role involves collaborating with data engineers and analysts, validating data accuracy, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for data visualization and security. The Power BI Developer will also contribute to documentation, user training, and continuous improvement of analytics solutions in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Power BI/Tableau development, including data modeling, DAX, creating dashboards, and building interactive reports.
- Experience working with relational databases and data warehousing concepts, including SQL querying and optimizing data pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI and reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices, usability, and storytelling with data.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles in analytics environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data quality.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, startup-focused consultancy environment.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), and tools like Snowflake or Databricks is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role is beneficial.
