Business Head - Amazon US Brands
Location: Gurgaon, Delhi NCR, India
Experience: 4–8+ years
About the Company
Warpfy is a profitable, venture-backed cross-border eCommerce company building consumer brands in home, kitchen, and wellness for customers in the US, Canada, and Australia. The company operates across multiple geographies and fulfilment hubs, with a business model anchored on Amazon.com and a focus on taking Indian products mass global. It is a small, high-performing team of operator-preneurs with backgrounds spanning McKinsey, Amazon, Wayfair, Morgan Stanley, and ex-founders. The organization values ownership, speed, accountability, and high standards, and it offers an opportunity to work closely with the founder in a board-level sparring relationship while running the business day to day.
About the Role
This role is designed for a senior operator who can run the business end to end, with the founder shifting into a broader role and staying engaged as a board-level partner. The Business Head will act as a mini-founder, owning the P&L across the Amazon brand portfolio, leading a small team, and coordinating external partners. Success in the role means driving growth, protecting profitability, and building scalable systems that keep the business moving without founder dependence. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is commercially sharp, analytically grounded, and comfortable making decisions in ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the P&L across the Amazon brand portfolio, with direct accountability for revenue, margins, and profitability. Use commercial judgment to make trade-offs that improve business outcomes.
- Drive brand growth through rankings, conversion, PPC, advertising, pricing, promotions, and new product launches. Translate market signals into sharper execution and stronger share of shelf.
- Lead, coach, and raise the performance of a small in-house team across marketing, operations, and logistics. Keep standards high while ensuring the team stays focused on outcomes.
- Manage external agency partners and hold them accountable on briefs, budgets, and performance. Turn vendor relationships into measurable business leverage.
- Oversee supply chain and operations across inventory planning, supplier coordination in China, Vietnam, and India, and fulfilment across hubs. Protect availability and working capital while keeping operations reliable.
- Run day-to-day business management through metrics monitoring, trend tracking, pricing shifts, and daily or weekly reporting. Convert operational data into clear actions quickly.
- Build SOPs, automation, and scalable processes that reduce founder dependence without relying on added headcount. Create operating leverage that supports growth.
- Report performance to the founder and board, and help shape the medium-term strategy for the portfolio. Act as a brand ambassador who reinforces Warpfy’s values and standards.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Deep, hands-on Amazon.com US marketplace experience across FBA, PPC, listings, rankings, and account health. Bring practical fluency in the mechanics that move performance.
- Strong eCommerce and commercial fundamentals, including pricing, promotions, conversion, and growth planning. Use these levers to protect margin while scaling revenue.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership or clear readiness to step into full business ownership. Show comfort making decisions with financial consequences.
- Proven ability to manage teams and external agencies toward outcomes. Build accountability through clear targets, cadence, and follow-through.
- Analytical, data-driven decision-making with strong comfort in numbers and reporting. Use evidence to spot issues early and prioritize the highest-impact actions.
- Entrepreneurial, ownership-led mindset with comfort in ambiguity and bias to action. Treat the business as if it were your own and move decisively.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English. Communicate clearly with the founder, board, team, and partners without losing precision.
Additional Plus
- Experience operating across multiple geographies or complex supply chains will be an advantage. It helps in a business that works across markets and fulfilment hubs.
- Prior exposure to founder-style environments, profit share, or equity-linked ownership is a plus. It typically fits people who are motivated by outsized responsibility and upside.
- Comfort building processes, automation, and operating systems from scratch will be useful. The role rewards people who create scale without simply adding more people.
What You'll Bring
- You bring strong ownership and the discipline to run a business through the numbers, not by supervision. Your decisions improve profitability, execution quality, and speed.
- You bring the judgment to balance growth and margin while managing a small team, external partners, and operating complexity. Your impact is measured in outcomes, not effort.
- You bring a founder-like mindset that stays solution-oriented under ambiguity. You are comfortable taking responsibility, learning quickly, and moving the business forward without waiting for perfect structure.
- You bring clear communication and the ability to align people around priorities. That keeps the founder, board, team, and partners moving in the same direction.
What We Offer
- Fixed compensation of ₹12–18 LPA, plus profit share tied directly to business performance. The upside is linked to the value you help create.
- Equity / ESOP ownership for the right person. This is designed to reward people who step up and own meaningful business outcomes.
- Medical insurance, unlimited PTO, and a non-hierarchical culture. The environment is built for high ownership with practical support.
- The chance to run a real, profitable, global business with founder-like exposure. It is a rare opportunity to learn, lead, and build without starting from zero.
DO NOT Apply if:
- You do not have extensive, hands-on Amazon.com (US marketplace) experience; this role is not for you.
- You want a remote or hybrid setup; this role is on-site in Gurgaon, full stop.
- You surface problems but cannot come up with solutions.
- You are used to giving excuses when outcomes slip.
- You make first-principles mistakes, do not learn from failure, and repeat the same mistakes.
- Your answer to every problem is more people; we scale with systems and quality, not headcount.
- You are a low performer or comfortable coasting; in a small high-performing team, there is no room to hide.
- You need heavy structure, close supervision, or a big-company support system to perform.
