About The Violet
The Violet is a creative AI-first digital agency working across content, branding, design, demand generation and performance marketing.
We believe AI should not sit separately from marketing. It should improve how teams research, think, create, sell, analyse and execute.
We are looking for someone who can own business growth, client relationships and AI-enabled workflows across the agency.
This is not a traditional sales role and it is not a conventional account-management role.
You should be comfortable speaking to founders and marketing leaders, managing client expectations, closing business and personally using AI tools to work faster and smarter.
What You Will Own
- Generate and develop new business opportunities through outbound, LinkedIn, referrals, networking and inbound leads.
- Conduct discovery calls and understand client business problems independently.
- Create proposals, pitch narratives, scope documents and commercial recommendations.
- Own follow-ups, negotiations and movement of opportunities towards closure.
- Become the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Conduct client review calls independently without requiring founder participation.
- Manage expectations around timelines, revisions, scope and deliverables.
- Coordinate design, content, SEO, performance, video and specialist resources.
- Work closely with the project coordinator to ensure briefs, feedback and timelines are properly documented.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Support renewals and payment follow-ups.
AI Is a Core Part of This Role
You should already be comfortable using AI hands-on rather than treating it as something only the creative team uses.
You will be expected to use AI for areas such as:
- Client and industry research
- Competitor analysis
- Proposal development
- Pitch preparation
- Content ideation
- Campaign thinking
- Brief creation
- Meeting summaries
- Client communication
- Presentation development
- Reporting and analysis
- Sales prospect research
- Outreach personalisation
- Process documentation
- Workflow automation
- Quality checking and refinement
You should be comfortable working with tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Canva AI and other emerging AI platforms relevant to marketing and agency operations.
We are not looking for someone who simply says, “I use ChatGPT.”
We want someone who knows how to structure prompts, iterate intelligently, fact-check outputs, improve them and turn AI output into usable business work.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, you should be able to:
- Manage most client conversations independently.
- Run discovery and sales calls without founder involvement.
- Create strong first drafts of proposals and pitch material using AI.
- Ensure clients interact with The Violet as an agency rather than depending on the founder.
- Reduce unnecessary calls and fragmented feedback loops.
- Create clearer briefs for internal teams.
- Maintain an organised pipeline and account tracker.
- Generate new recurring revenue.
- Use AI to significantly reduce time spent on repetitive sales and servicing tasks.
- Escalate only strategic or genuinely sensitive issues to the founder.
Who We Are Looking For
Ideally, you have 3–5 years of experience in a digital agency, creative agency, marketing services company, SaaS business or B2B services environment.
You should:
- Be confident speaking with founders, CXOs and senior marketing professionals.
- Understand digital marketing across social media, branding, websites, SEO, content and performance.
- Have experience managing clients, not only generating leads.
- Be commercially comfortable discussing scope and pricing.
- Be capable of handling difficult client conversations professionally.
- Have strong follow-up and project-management discipline.
- Be curious about AI and actively use it in your work.
- Be comfortable learning new tools without waiting for formal training.
- Know when AI output is weak, generic or factually unreliable.
- Be able to turn AI-assisted work into polished client-ready output.
This Role Is Not For You If
You are looking for a pure telecalling or lead-generation role.
You expect the founder to join every important client call.
You think account management means forwarding messages between clients and designers.
You use AI only for writing basic captions.
You copy-paste AI output without thinking, checking or refining it.
You are uncomfortable learning new tools or experimenting with new workflows.
