Job details:
Manager – Business Finance
Business Controller / Finance Business Partner
Sturlite Group | Bangalore (On-site) | Full-time | 3–5 years experience
About the Group
The Sturlite Group is a diversified portfolio of high-growth businesses spanning fast-moving electrical goods, renewable energy and healthcare distribution. This role sits at the centre of the group's finance function and offers direct exposure to three distinct businesses, their promoters and the Group CFO.
Sturlite Electric Pvt. Ltd.
FMEG
The Group's Fast-Moving Electrical Goods business — lighting, wires & cables and switches — sold through General Trade (GT), e-commerce and modern trade channels.
Sturlite Greentech Pvt. Ltd.
Solar C&I IPP
The Commercial & Industrial solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) business, developing and operating renewable energy assets.
Araya Health Pvt. Ltd.
Healthcare
An OTC healthcare distribution business operating online, with a potential Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) expansion.
The Role
We are looking for a sharp, commercially-minded finance professional to act as a Business Controller across the three entities. You will own the numbers end-to-end — driving entity-level profitability, sharpening KPIs and turning financial insight into better decisions. You will work hand-in-hand with the Group CFO and the individual business owners, building the MIS and Board packs that shape strategy and reviewing performance against plan.
This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role designed as a launchpad. The right person will grow into a future entity-level Finance Head — someone with a genuine business bent of mind rather than a pure back-office accountant.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Controlling & Profitability
• Act as the finance business partner and controller for all three entities, owning P&L accuracy and driving entity-level profitability.
• Define, track and improve the KPIs that matter for each business — channel margins for FMEG, project IRR/yield for the solar IPP, and unit economics for healthcare distribution and D2C.
• Analyse business performance against plan, identify variances and their root causes, and recommend corrective actions to the business owners.
MIS, Board Packs & Reporting
• Build and own monthly MIS packs across the three entities — clean, insightful and decision-ready.
• Develop Board packs in close partnership with the Group CFO, translating financial and operational data into a clear narrative for the leadership and Board.
• Standardise reporting formats, dashboards and data flows so that reporting is timely, consistent and reliable.
Planning, Forecasting & Decision Support
• Own the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles for each entity.
• Build financial models and business cases to support pricing, channel mix, capex, new product and market-entry decisions.
• Provide the CFO and business owners with the analysis and scenarios they need to make faster, better-informed decisions.
Business Partnering & Ownership
• Work very closely with the business owners of each entity, becoming their trusted finance partner.
• Take true end-to-end ownership of finance deliverables — from data to insight to recommendation to follow-through.
• Continuously strengthen financial controls, processes and discipline across the entities.
What We Are Looking For
• Qualification: CA, MBA (Finance) from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 College, CMA or equivalent.
• Experience: 3–5 years in FP&A, business finance, controllership, business partnering or a similar commercial-finance role. Entry-level to this scope, but hungry to own it.
• Analytical horsepower: Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel; comfort with data and building MIS from the ground up.
• Business mindset: Genuine commercial curiosity — you connect the numbers to what is actually happening in the business.
• Communication: Able to build clean MIS and Board packs and present insight crisply to senior stakeholders and promoters.
• Ownership & drive: Self-starter who takes end-to-end accountability and thrives in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment.
• Bonus: Exposure to FMCG/FMEG, renewable energy, or healthcare/D2C sectors; familiarity with BI tools and ERP systems.
Why This Role
• Direct, daily access to the Group CFO and the business owners of three distinct businesses.
• Rare breadth — FMEG, renewable energy and healthcare — under one mandate.
• A clearly defined growth path towards becoming a future entity-level Finance Head.
• Real ownership and influence over decisions, not just reporting.
