Job Summary :
This is a mid-to-senior level leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, process improvement, audits, digital transformation, and project management across the organization. The role acts as a central enabler for efficiency, quality, compliance, and transformation initiatives.
Key Purpose of the Role :
The Manager - Business Excellence is responsible for ensuring the organization runs smoothly through:
- Strong governance of processes and policies
- Effective audits and assessments
- Continuous improvement and transformation projects
- Smooth operation and enhancement of enterprise applications
Major Responsibility Areas
1. Project Management & PMO Support
- Guide and monitor continuous improvement and transformation projects
- Ensure projects follow the organization’s project & change management standards
- Help teams prepare project documents, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and use analytical tools (e.g., Minitab)
- Track and report project progress to management
- Lead or support end-to-end implementation of enterprise-wide projects by coordinating with business teams, vendors, consultants, and IT
2. Process Management & Governance
- Own and manage the central Process Repository
- Guide departments in creating process maps, controls, KPIs/metrics, and monitoring systems
- Identify process risks, failure modes (using FMEA), and mitigation plans
- Find improvement opportunities through gap analysis, trend analysis, etc.
3. Audits & Assessments
- Ensure timely completion of all internal and external audits
- Manage the full audit lifecycle — planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and closure
- Track and ensure timely closure of audit findings/observations
- Provide regular audit status reports to senior management
4. Digital Transformation
- Support departments in implementing new or upgraded enterprise systems
- Track and report progress of all Business Excellence-led transformation initiatives
5. Enterprise Application Management
- Plan and roll out major/minor enhancements in key enterprise applications
- Manage application backlogs and daily operations
- Coordinate with vendors and IT for issue resolution, maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure
- Manage licenses, user access, passwords, and security norms
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in internal/external audits
- Strong Project Management and Process Consulting experience
- Knowledge of BPM tools (iGrafx, Visio, etc.)
- Excellent command over MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong data analytics, problem-solving, and storytelling skills
- Experience managing enterprise-level applications/systems
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills (especially with technology teams)
Eligibility Criteria :
- Education: BE / MBA / Graduate or Post-Graduate with IT experience
- Experience: 7–10 years overall relevant experience
- Certifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (mandatory)
- Project Management certification (PMP or similar) is a big plus
