Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, for a Business Development Specialist – Events. The specialist will identify and pursue new business opportunities across events, brand activations, talent management, and related services, with responsibility for meeting revenue and growth targets. Daily activities include prospecting and lead generation, conducting market research, preparing pitches and proposals, and actively presenting solutions to potential and existing clients. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, maintaining accurate records of outreach and conversions, and coordinating with internal event, creative, and operations teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery of proposed solutions. The specialist will also nurture long-term client relationships, participate in networking events, support contract negotiations, and provide regular performance and pipeline reports to management.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research abilities to identify opportunities, track competition, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build relationships, understand client needs, and provide professional support throughout the sales cycle.
- Proven Lead Generation experience, including prospecting, outreach, and qualification of potential clients in events, marketing, or related industries.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams (events, creative, operations) to translate client objectives into viable proposals and deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in events, media, advertising, or brand activation business development is highly preferred.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, with comfort working toward targets and deadlines.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
