Company Description
kaipaneē is a premium handmade surfaces studio founded in Bangalore in 2020. We specialise in terrazzo, micro-concrete, and cladcrete; crafted for residential, commercial, and institutional spaces that care deeply about material quality and design intent. Our work lives at the intersection of craft and contemporary design, and our clients are some of the most discerning architects and interior designers in India. We are a focused team in an active growth phase. building both the quality of our work and the depth of our client relationships.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Business Development role based in Bengaluru — but it is not a conventional sales job. You will be the primary relationship-builder between Kaipanee and the architect and interior design studios we work with. That means visiting studios, having real conversations about materials, colours, and design intent, presenting our portfolio, and helping designers discover what our surfaces can do for their projects. You will work directly with our founder, get involved in design development conversations with clients, and grow into a senior BD role as the company expands. We are looking for someone who wants to build something with us over the next several years — not someone passing through.
Qualifications
• Background in interior design, architecture, or a related design field — you understand how studios think and can speak their language
• Naturally people-oriented, with strong communication skills in person, over email, and in presentations
• Genuinely curious about materials, craft, and the built environment — an interest in how things are made matters here
• Comfortable reading AutoCAD drawings and working with design software
• Confident, warm, and persistent — able to follow up with clients in a way that is firm without being pushy
• Self-directed and organised — this role involves field visits and independent client management
• Looking for a long-term role where you grow with the business, not a short stint before returning to studio practice
