About Us
Inspire Design is a mechanical engineering firm based in Ahmedabad. We work with US-based medical device design companies as an offshore engineering extension handling CAD modeling, technical drawings, DFM, and documentation work. We also work with clinicians and innovators in India to build early-stage medical devices from concept to prototype.
We're a lean, fast-moving team and we're growing. We need someone who can help us grow faster.
The Role
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to own our outreach to US-based medical device and product development firms. Your job is simple: start conversations that lead to clients.
This is a hands-on execution role not a strategy role. You will be researching leads, sending LinkedIn connection requests, writing and sending cold emails, cold-calling prospects, following up, and handing warm conversations to the founder to close.
You will be managing a team of interns for basic tasks. You won't be making decks. You'll be talking to people every day and getting us in front of the right ones.
What You'll Do
• Send 15–20 personalized LinkedIn connection requests daily to target leads
• Run cold email outreach to 30–40 leads per day
• Cold-calling prospects to schedule a meet with our founder
• Track all outreach activity in a shared CRM/spreadsheet daily
• Follow up with leads who have engaged but not responded
• Flag warm replies immediately to the founder for takeover
• Research target companies and personalize messaging accordingly
• Iterate on messaging based on what's working

What We're Looking For
• 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation
• Background in engineering services, IT outsourcing, or manufacturing is a strong plus
• Excellent written English since you'll be communicating with US founders and CEOs
• Comfortable with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, cold email tools, and Google Sheets
• Self-directed. You don't need to be told what to do every morning
• Commission-hungry - you should want to earn more than your base
Medical device knowledge is NOT required. We will train you on the industry and the messaging.
Compensation
• Base: ₹15,000–20,000/month depending on experience
• Commission: 10% of revenue from any client you bring in, paid for the first 3 months of that engagement
- an opportunity to earn over ₹60,000 a month depending on your performance.
• No cap on commission
