Role Description
Eminence, a strategy consulting company focused on building, estabilishing and protecting reputation, is looking to hire a Business Development Specialist. This role is for a candidate with proven experience selling research-led solutions. The role will focus on building and closing research‑led consulting engagements, working closely with senior leadership to convert organisational challenges and develop long‑term, insight‑driven partnerships. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive revenue growth by selling Eminence’s research-based consulting offerings to senior decision-makers across industries. The specialist will drive the company's business growth by forming strategic partnerships to deliver transformative business outcomes for the clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities for research-led consulting engagements, meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets.
- Engage with CXOs, marketing heads, communications leaders, strategy teams, and PE/investment professionals to diagnose business challenges that require research-driven solutions.
- Design, prepare, and present research proposals and strategic recommendations that clearly articulate value and impact.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships, enabling repeat engagements and reference-led growth.
- Work closely with internal teams (research, consulting, marketing, execution) to ensure seamless handover from sale to delivery and high client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5–8+ years of proven experience in business development or sales for research, insights, or consulting services (market research agencies, consulting firms, analytics firms, advisory services, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to sell bespoke research engagements, not just off-the-shelf products—experience across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of how research and insights drive strategic decision-making, brand positioning, reputation management, and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent analytical, storytelling, and proposal-writing skills—able to translate business problems into research-backed solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel essential).
