Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hyderabad for an Academic Advisor. The Academic Advisor will assist students in identifying their academic and career goals by providing personalized academic advising and career counseling. The role includes guiding students in course and program selection, supporting their academic success, and offering resources to help them develop skills for future career opportunities. Collaborating with faculty and administration, the Advisor will also contribute to enhancing educational programs and workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talk to students and working professionals who have shown interest in our programs
- Understand their career goals, challenges, and skill gaps
- Recommend and pitch the right program confidently
- Handle the complete sales cycle: first call → follow-ups → closing the deal
- Build trust and long-term relationships with learners
- Maintain lead details, follow-ups, and conversions on CRM (LeadSquared)
- Work closely with marketing and academic teams to improve conversions
- Achieve monthly sales targets and grow your earnings
Our Requirement:
- You have 1+ years of experience in sales (EdTech experience is a big plus)
- You’re comfortable selling career-oriented or technical courses
- You enjoy conversations, persuasion, and closing deals
- You’re target-driven and don’t shy away from numbers
- You can handle objections and turn “maybe” into “yes.”
- You’re familiar with CRM tools or ready to learn fast
