Business Development Specialist – Retail Expansion

As we continue our growth journey, we are expanding our Shop-in-Shop Partner Network across India and are looking for an ambitious Business Development Specialist to lead this expansion.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and onboard jewellery retailers, multi-brand jewellery stores, and premium retail partners across India.
* Drive the expansion of Awaken Jewels’ Shop-in-Shop business model.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with jewellery store owners and decision-makers.
* Conduct market research to identify high-potential cities, regions, and retail opportunities.
* Present partnership proposals and negotiate commercial agreements.
* Coordinate partner onboarding, product assortment planning, and launch execution.
* Work closely with management to achieve expansion targets and revenue goals.
* Track sales performance, partner engagement, and growth opportunities.
* Represent Awaken Jewels at exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.
Desired Candidate Profile
* 2–6 years of experience in business development, franchise expansion, retail expansion, or jewellery sales.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Experience in the jewellery, luxury, fashion, retail, or lifestyle industry preferred.
* Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with travel.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple partner relationships.
* Strong understanding of sales funnels, lead generation, and business growth.

Success in This Role
Within the first 12 months, the ideal candidate will successfully establish multiple Shop-in-Shop partnerships, build a strong retailer network, and contribute significantly to the national expansion of Awaken Jewels.
