We are looking for passionate individuals with a strong understanding of the development sector who are interested in building a career in Business Development. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy networking, relationship building, proposal development, and contributing to the growth of social impact initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and research prospective clients, CSR opportunities, foundations, NGOs, and government agencies.
2. Generate leads through networking, outreach, market research, and online platforms.
3. Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
4. Coordinate meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with prospective partners.
5. Support the preparation of proposals, concept notes, capability statements, and pitch decks.
6. Track CSR trends, funding opportunities, and donor priorities.
7. Maintain and update the sales pipeline and CRM.
8. Collaborate with consulting, research, and communications teams to prepare customized proposals.
9. Represent the organization at conferences, networking events, webinars, and stakeholder meetings.
10. Support strategic partnerships and business expansion initiatives.
Requirements:
1, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Sociology, Political Science, Rural Development, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, or any other relevant Social Science discipline.
2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the social sector, preferably with NGOs, CSR consulting organizations, development consulting firms, foundations, or social enterprises.
3. Strong interest in transitioning into or building a career in Business Development within the social impact/CSR sector.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with corporates, NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
5. Strong research, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
6. Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking events, conferences, and business development activities, as required.
7. Knowledge of the CSR ecosystem, NGO sector, government schemes, and social development landscape is preferred.
