THE OPPORTUNITYTechmantu is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support outbound appointment setting across both Growth and Skilling practices.
This is a high-focus execution role responsible for generating qualified discovery meetings through structured outbound outreach.
The role is not a sales-closing role — it is focused purely on pipeline generation and meeting qualification.
WHAT YOU WILL DOTo be effective in this role, you will execute work across the following areas:
- Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Discovery Meeting Qualification
- CRM Updates & Pipeline Tracking
- Outreach Cadence Execution
- Email & Call-based Follow-ups
- Basic Prospect Research
- Meeting Coordination & Scheduling
THE ROLEYou will be part of the Business Development function and will:
- Conduct outbound calls (15–20 contacts per day)
- Book qualified discovery meetings for senior consultants
- Follow structured outreach cadence (4 attempts over 2 weeks)
- Send follow-up emails using approved templates
- Maintain accurate CRM updates daily
- Prepare basic research briefs on prospects
- Coordinate meeting logistics (calendar invites, confirmations, links)
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES NOT INCLUDE- Running sales meetings or pitching services
- Closing deals
- Writing proposals or SOWs
- Campaign strategy or target list creation
- Post-sales account management
REQUIRED SKILLS- Strong verbal communication and professional phone presence
- Ability to engage with CXOs, founders, and senior stakeholders
- Basic understanding of outbound sales or lead generation
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and LinkedIn
- Strong discipline in follow-ups and CRM updates
- Structured thinking and execution discipline
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE- 6 months – 2 years of experience in cold calling / outbound roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment
- Strong learning mindset and coachability
- Ability to follow structured processes and playbooks
WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL- Understand Techmantu’s Growth & Skilling practices
- Get trained on outreach playbooks, CRM, and tools
- Start executing outbound calls and emails
- Begin booking initial discovery meetings
WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL- Consistently book 3–5 qualified meetings per week
- Effectively manage outreach cadence independently
- Improve conversation quality and qualification accuracy
WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL- Become fully autonomous in outbound execution
- Improve conversion rates and meeting quality
- Contribute to refining outreach messaging and processes
SUCCESS METRICS- Month 1: 8–12 qualified meetings booked
- Month 3+: 3–5 meetings per week consistently
- CRM hygiene and adherence to outreach cadence

WORK MODE- Remote (with occasional in-person meetings if required)
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND GROWTHYou will work closely with senior consultants and leadership teams, gaining exposure to:
- Client acquisition strategy
- Business consulting environments
- Structured B2B outreach systems
This role can evolve into consulting, sales, or account management roles based on performance.
Work Environment and GrowthBased in our Bangalore office, you will participate in a 5-week Techmantu Boot Camp designed to build essential skills for managing client accounts and overseeing project execution. You will work under the mentorship of a Managing Director and Consulting directors, gaining hands-on experience in client relationship management, project coordination, and cross-functional team collaboration.
