About Tcules
Tcules is a design-led product engineering company helping SaaS and tech-first businesses build scalable digital products. Our work spans product design, design systems, frontend and full-stack engineering, and AI-first product development.
We work closely with founders, product teams, CTOs, and business leaders to turn ideas into production-ready software.
As we grow our business development function, we are looking for a Business Development Professional who can support our senior BD & Growth lead in building a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
About the Role
This role is focused on grazing-led opportunity discovery, lead generation, prospect research, outbound outreach, follow-up execution, and meeting-setting support.
At Tcules, grazing means actively scanning public platforms, communities, job boards, launches, conversations, and online signals where potential business requirements may already be visible.
This includes channels such as LinkedIn, Upwork, X, remote job portals, Product Hunt, Reddit, Quora, founder communities, SaaS communities, company websites, hiring pages, funding/news updates, and other online sources where buying intent or business signals may appear.
You will work closely with the senior BD & Growth lead, who will define the broader sales direction, target segments, service positioning, and business development priorities. Your role will be to execute that plan with discipline, curiosity, and ownership.
This is not a strategy-only role. It is a hands-on execution role for someone who can research well, identify signals, qualify opportunities, write contextual outreach, follow up consistently, track activity clearly, and help generate qualified conversations or meetings.
What You’ll Work On
Your responsibilities will include:
- Scanning different channels to identify relevant business opportunities, buying intent signals, and potential prospects
- Monitoring platforms such as LinkedIn, Upwork, X, remote job portals, Product Hunt, Reddit, Quora, communities, startup directories, company websites, hiring pages, and funding/news platforms
- Identifying signals such as product launches, redesign needs, hiring activity, funding announcements, MVP/product build requirements, frontend or full-stack needs, design system needs, AI-product initiatives, or founder conversations around product challenges
- Building qualified lead lists based on defined ICPs, industries, geographies, company profiles, and service relevance
- Researching companies, founders, CTOs, product leaders, design leaders, and other relevant decision-makers
- Prioritizing leads based on signal strength, relevance, timing, company fit, and likelihood of conversion
- Drafting personalized first-touch messages, follow-ups, LinkedIn notes, email outreach, Upwork responses, and other channel-specific messages
- Supporting outreach across LinkedIn, email, Upwork, X, Reddit, Quora, and other relevant channels where appropriate
- Maintaining clean CRM sheets, lead trackers, outreach status, follow-up dates, response status, next actions, and escalation notes
- Following up consistently with prospects based on the outreach plan
- Preparing short prospect summaries and internal notes for the senior BD lead
- Helping generate positive replies, qualified conversations, or meetings with relevant prospects
- Reviewing what is working and what is not across channels, messaging, targeting, and follow-ups
- Suggesting practical improvements to outreach angles, channel focus, prospect qualification, and follow-up approach
- Using AI tools to improve research, summarization, personalization, message drafting, and follow-up quality
- Preparing weekly reports on opportunities scanned, qualified leads shortlisted, outreach sent, follow-ups completed, responses received, meetings booked, learnings, and support needed
What This Role Really Requires
We are looking for someone who does not just “send messages.”
We need someone who can scan the right channels daily, notice useful buying intent signals, research the context, decide whether the opportunity is worth pursuing, write a relevant outreach angle, follow up with discipline, and track outcomes properly.
You should be comfortable asking yourself:
- Which channel is producing better quality signals?
- Which type of prospect is responding better?
- Are the messages too generic?
- Are we targeting the right role?
- Should we change the outreach angle?
- Are we following up at the right time?
- What can we test differently next week?
This role requires a hungry lead generation attitude, but also the patience and discipline to build pipeline through structured daily execution.
Must-Have Requirements
- 1-2 year of experience in business development, lead generation, sales development, outbound sales, or a similar role
- Prior exposure to IT services, software services, SaaS, digital product, design, or technology businesses
- Experience generating leads through outbound or research-led methods
- Experience identifying prospects in international markets
- Ability to research companies, decision-makers, products, business context, and buying signals
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to write clear, professional, personalized, and context-aware outreach messages
- Comfort with LinkedIn, email outreach, Upwork, online research, spreadsheets, and CRM-style tracking
- Ability to work with daily/weekly outreach plans and execute them with discipline
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining lead data and follow-up status
- Ability to self-assess outreach performance and suggest practical improvements
- Curiosity about SaaS, product design, software development, frontend/full-stack engineering, and AI-first product work
Especially Valuable
It would be a strong plus if you have experience with:
- Upwork opportunity research and proposal drafting
- LinkedIn prospecting and founder/CTO outreach
- Cold email outreach
- Scanning remote job boards to identify companies that may need external product/design/engineering support
- Monitoring Product Hunt launches to identify early-stage or scaling SaaS/product companies
- Using Reddit, Quora, X, or niche communities to identify relevant business conversations
- Finding buying signals from hiring pages, funding news, product launches, community discussions, or public posts
- Using AI tools like ChatGPT for prospect research, summarization, personalization, message drafting, and follow-up preparation
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role would look like:
- Consistent scanning of relevant channels for opportunity signals
- A steady flow of well-researched and qualified leads
- Strong discovery of opportunities across LinkedIn, Upwork, X, remote job portals, Product Hunt, Reddit, Quora, and other relevant platforms
- Clean and accurate lead trackers with useful prospect context
- Consistent execution of planned outreach and follow-ups
- Better personalization in outbound messages
- Positive replies or qualified conversations generated through disciplined outreach
- 1–2 qualified meetings or strong prospect conversations generated per week over time
- Clear daily and weekly reporting
- Regular self-assessment of what is working and what is not
- Practical suggestions to improve channel selection, targeting, messaging, follow-up timing, and outreach quality
- Strong support to the senior BD lead in building a qualified pipeline
AI-Native Working Style
We actively use AI to improve business development execution.
You do not need to be an AI expert, but you should be comfortable using AI tools to work faster and better.
You may use AI for:
- Summarizing company websites and product pages
- Understanding prospect context
- Reviewing job posts, Product Hunt launches, Upwork briefs, Reddit threads, or LinkedIn posts
- Drafting first versions of outreach messages
- Creating message variations for different channels
- Improving grammar, clarity, and tone
- Preparing short prospect summaries for the senior BD lead
- Organizing research notes and follow-up reminders
However, AI should not replace your judgment. You will still need to decide whether a signal is relevant, what angle makes sense, whether the message feels human, and when a lead should be escalated.
Who This Role Is For
This role is a good fit if you:
- Have already worked in lead generation, outbound sales, or business development
- Enjoy finding opportunities through research and online signals
- Are comfortable scanning multiple platforms and communities
- Can write clearly and professionally
- Are disciplined with daily outreach and follow-ups
- Like working with trackers, lists, CRM sheets, and weekly reports
- Can review your own work and improve your approach
- Are curious about SaaS, product design, software development, and AI-led product work
- Want to grow into a stronger B2B business development professional
Who This Role Is Not For
This role may not be the right fit if you:
- Are a fresher with no real exposure to lead generation or outbound sales
- Are looking for a pure strategy role without execution
- Are uncomfortable with daily scanning, research, outreach, tracking, and follow-ups
- Prefer waiting for inbound leads instead of actively finding opportunities
- Do not enjoy writing outreach messages
- Do not like working with activity targets, reporting, and follow-up discipline
- Are not comfortable improving your approach based on results
