NEXORA TECH | Board Ready Program Business Development & Operations Associate Part-Time to Full-Time │ Remote / Mumbai │ ₹6–9 Lakh per Annum
This role keeps the pipeline moving, proposals on time, and the marketing engine running. You do not need to understand AI governance deeply — you need to be disciplined, precise in written communication, and allergic to improvisation on client-facing correspondence.
About the Role
Nexora Tech is an AI governance advisory firm built around the Board Ready Program — a structured six-month engagement that equips boards and senior leadership to govern AI responsibly. The firm is led by Aparna Kumar, Founder and former CIO at SBI and HSBC.
As the practice scales, the BD & Operations Associate manages the prospect pipeline, keeps the CRM current, coordinates proposals and discovery calls, and runs the marketing and content distribution engine that keeps Nexora Tech visible to Independent Directors, CROs, and governance leaders.
This role starts part-time and converts to full-time as the programme portfolio grows. The person who does this well becomes the operational backbone of a growing advisory practice — with direct visibility into how board-level engagements are structured, sold, and delivered.
You do not need to be a technical expert in AI or governance. You need to be a disciplined professional services operator who understands that every piece of client correspondence carries Nexora Tech's brand and Aparna Kumar's professional reputation. Nothing goes to a client or prospect without approval. That is not a constraint — that is the standard.
Responsibility Clusters
01 — Pipeline & CRM
- Own and maintain Nexora Tech's prospect pipeline — keeping CRM records current for every active prospect: contact details, engagement history, stage, and next action. A CRM that is not up to date is not a CRM.
- Manage the outreach sequence for prospective clients — coordinating timing, personalisation, and follow-up cadence for Aparna Kumar's outreach to Independent Directors, CROs, Audit Committee chairs, and governance leaders across BFSI, healthcare, infrastructure, and regulated enterprise.
- Schedule and coordinate discovery calls — managing calendar logistics, preparing prospect briefing notes (company context, known AI exposure, governance signals from public disclosures), and sending confirmation and pre-read materials.
- Produce a weekly pipeline summary for Aparna Kumar — active prospects by stage, pending follow-ups, proposals in progress, and conversion metrics.
- Maintain the contact database for Nexora Tech's Board Insights distribution list — managing additions, unsubscribes, and segmentation by sector, role, and engagement history.
- Monitor and flag inbound enquiries from the website, LinkedIn, and email — routing to Aparna Kumar with context and a recommended response approach within 24 hours.
02 — Marketing & Content Operations
- Coordinate distribution of Nexora Tech's quarterly Regulatory Horizon Scan — managing the send schedule, distribution platform, personalisation, and open/engagement metrics.
- Manage the LinkedIn content calendar for Nexora Tech's company page and support Aparna Kumar's personal LinkedIn scheduling — drafting post copy for review, scheduling approved content, and tracking engagement metrics.
- Coordinate logistics for Nexora Tech webinars, roundtables, and event invitations — managing invitation lists, confirmation and reminder sequences, platform setup, and post-event follow-up.
- Maintain and update Nexora Tech's collateral library — ensuring Board Insights articles, programme brochures, one-page summaries, and proposal templates are current, version-controlled, and accessible.
- Track and report marketing performance metrics monthly — distribution list growth, LinkedIn engagement trends, webinar attendance rates, and content-to-pipeline conversion signals.
- Support production of new Board Insights content — formatting, PDF preparation, website upload coordination, and distribution scheduling once Aparna Kumar approves content.
03 — Proposal & Commercial Support
- Customise programme proposals for specific prospect contexts — incorporating prospect research, sector-specific regulatory exposure, and programme scope tailored to governance maturity level, working from approved templates.
- Manage the proposal production and delivery process end-to-end — formatting, proofing, version control, and timely delivery. Proposals that miss their send window or contain errors are a commercial and reputational liability.
- Track all commercial milestones — proposal sent, follow-up due, engagement letter issued, retainer invoice raised, payment received — maintaining a clean commercial calendar for Aparna Kumar's oversight.
- Coordinate engagement letter and contract logistics — preparing documents from approved templates, managing the sign-off and countersignature process, and maintaining executed contract records.
- Raise and track invoices for active programme engagements — coordinating on milestone completion, issuing invoices on schedule, and following up on overdue payments professionally.
- Conduct prospect research to support business development — annual reports, regulatory filings, press coverage, and LinkedIn profiles to build the context needed before discovery calls and proposal customisation.
Essential Requirements
Experience & Background
- 3–5 years in business development, client operations, or marketing within a professional services environment — consulting, legal, financial services, or an advisory firm where correspondence quality is non-negotiable.
- Demonstrable experience managing a prospect pipeline and CRM with discipline — as the person accountable for its accuracy and currency, not as a user of a system someone else maintains.
- Track record producing professional written correspondence — proposals, client emails, follow-up communications — at the standard expected in a board-level advisory context.
- Experience coordinating marketing distribution or content operations — email campaigns, social media scheduling, event logistics — with attention to timing, accuracy, and audience targeting.
Process & Communication Standards
- Process discipline — ability to maintain systems, follow sequences, and operate consistently without being prompted; pipeline management that requires chasing is not pipeline management.
- Written communication quality at professional services standard — board-level correspondence has a register and precision that transactional sales writing does not.
- Comfort drafting correspondence to Independent Directors and CROs without requiring extensive editing — not technical AI knowledge, but professional literacy at the right register.
Tools & Working Style
- CRM proficiency — HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or equivalent; discipline of keeping it current matters more than the specific platform.
- LinkedIn familiarity — scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or native scheduling), content performance tracking, and content distribution mechanics.
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel — formatting precision on proposals, tracking sheets, and collateral management matters.
- High autonomy and self-direction — things happen on time and to standard without being prompted.
This Role Will Not Work For You If —
- Your background is transactional sales — cold calling volumes and pipeline velocity are not the measures here; quality and precision of every client interaction are.
- You improvise on client-facing communications without approval — every external communication carries Aparna Kumar's name and Nexora Tech's brand.
- You need a clearly defined daily task list — the pipeline, calendar, and proposals do not manage themselves.
- You are primarily interested in the content side — content operations is one cluster of three; pipeline and commercial support are equally important.
- Your written communication is not yet at a professional services standard — writing that requires significant editing before reaching a client creates bottlenecks.
- You are uncomfortable managing multiple simultaneous workstreams — the pipeline, marketing calendar, proposal tracker, and commercial ledger all run in parallel.
