Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Market Expansion:
• Develop and implement growth strategies for inspection and testing services across various commodities. • Identify new market opportunities and expand client base through active engagement.
• Design and introduce new service offerings aligned with customer needs and industry developments.
• Drive commodity-wise target setting, monitoring, and client acquisition.
Operational & Financial Management: • Develop and execute annual sales plans to achieve branch profitability goals.
• Implement cost and time management strategies to optimize operational performance.
• Monitor P&L performance, ensuring financial sustainability and timely payment recovery.
• Define and drive initiatives for operational excellence and client satisfaction through structured feedback systems.
Project & Resource Management: • Develop business methods, procedures, and technical feasibility studies to enhance service efficiency. • Establish and maintain reporting systems, manpower management, logistics, and transaction schedules. • Design and conduct experimental operational models where necessary. • Utilize market and financial insights to conceptualize and address operational challenges. • Define and implement an optimized organizational structure, managing and developing teams in line with the annual budget and strategic plan.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance: • Ensure strict adherence to local statutory regulations, industrial standards, and legal requirements. • Maintain high standards in Ethics, Technical Compliance, Quality, and Risk Management. • Conduct audits and training programs for integrated management systems. Performance Monitoring & Strategic Execution: • Continuously analyze market trends, competition, and financial performance through structured monthly reviews. • Initiate corrective actions when required to ensure alignment with business objectives. • Foster a culture of team collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Key Competencies & Skills:
✔ Strong expertise in inspection & testing for fuels, metals, food, fertilizers, and environmental commodities.
✔ Business acumen with a strategic approach to market expansion and client development.
✔ Proven ability to drive operational efficiency, financial performance, and quality service delivery.
✔ Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in resource optimization.
✔ Knowledge of industry standards, compliance frameworks, and quality management systems.
✔ Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with experience in project planning and execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or a related field. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in inspection, testing, operations, or business leadership roles. Proven track record in P&L management, business growth, and regulatory compliance.
The BD & Operation is responsible for new market development in the inspection and testing sector for various commodities, including food, agriculture, commodity, project cargo, container and steel cargo. This role entails overseeing all business functions, including operations, marketing, financial performance (P&L), quality service delivery, customer engagement, and compliance.
