Job Summary
We are looking for a technically aware and performance-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) who has experience selling Website Development services as well as AMC-based managed IT solutions.
The ideal candidate should have a background in digital agency or IT services sales, with exposure to custom website development projects (Next.js / MERN) and the ability to convert clients into long-term AMC retainers for maintenance, servers, and infrastructure support.
This role requires someone who understands project-based website sales and can upsell clients into monthly or yearly support contracts, ensuring long-term revenue and client retention.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Business Opportunity Identification
• Identify B2B opportunities for website development, IT services & AMC contracts
• Understand client requirements for websites, servers, hosting & long-term support
• Track market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing models
• Build a healthy pipeline of project + AMC clients
2. Technical & Service Awareness
• Understanding of Website Development services (Next.js, MERN stack – sales-level knowledge)
• Knowledge of website hosting, deployment, maintenance & uptime
• Understanding of VPS / cloud servers, Linux basics, backups & security
• Knowledge of domains, DNS, SSL & email systems
• Ability to explain technical solutions in simple business language
3. Lead Generation & Outreach
• Experience with LinkedIn outreach, cold calling & email pitching
• Approach founders, business owners, CTOs & IT managers
• Conduct discovery calls for:
- Website development needs
- Infrastructure & support requirements
- Prepare proposals for:
- Website development projects
- Monthly / yearly AMC retainers
4. Client Relationship Management
• Build long-term relationships with website development clients
• Convert completed projects into AMC & maintenance contracts
5. Sales Strategy & Collaboration
• Coordinate with marketing, operations, and finance for smooth project execution
• Work closely with technical and operations teams
• Maintain CRM records, follow-ups, and deal status
• Share weekly sales updates and pipeline reports
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field
• 2–5 years experience in IT Services / Digital Agency Sales (Mandatory)
• Experience selling Website Development projects
• Experience selling or upselling AMC / retainers / managed services
• Strong understanding of web technologies, hosting & infrastructure concepts
• Excellent communication, negotiation & closing skills
