DHL Industrial Projects: DHL Industrial Projects (IP) is part of DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) Integrated Solutions and is a global project logistics specialist delivering integrated heavy lift and project cargo solutions across a wide range of sectors.

Job Purpose
To drive growth and profitability of Industrial Projects by developing and managing corporate customer relationships, delivering tailored solutions, and ensuring effective account management and service excellence.
Principal Accountabilities
Customer Relationship Management:
- Identify and develop potential, sustainable relationships with new corporate customers
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing corporate customers to ensure loyalty and retention
- Respond effectively to customer enquiries, requirements, and complaints
- Keep customers informed about relevant organizational and industry developments
RFQ, RFI and Tender Management:
- Handle and respond to RFIs, RFQs, and tenders related to Industrial Projects
- Understand customer requirements and position Industrial Project services accordingly
- Develop customized, tailor-made logistics solutions based on customer needs
Account Planning and Business Development:
- Map and manage key accounts within the assigned region/vertical
- Profile business potential and define growth opportunities for each account
- Develop detailed customer plans and strategies for business growth
- Drive business growth in line with defined targets and strategies
- Identify new business opportunities in collaboration with the Head – Project Development & Implementation
Commercial and Operational Management:
- Develop and maintain commercial agreements and SOPs for customers
- Establish processes for managing and retaining existing customers
- Ensure regular updates in CRM systems (e.g., Danzsale)
- Define and communicate escalation matrices for operational issues
- Organize Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key customers
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor business performance against budget on a monthly basis
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on customer performance and future trends
- Provide regular updates and reports to Vertical Head and RSM
- Generate reports for management on Industrial Projects within the region
Stakeholder and Customer Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure alignment of services with customer expectations and business goals
- Drive continuous communication with customers to enhance satisfaction and service delivery
People Management and Development:
- Develop and foster a high-performance service culture within the team
- Set KPIs/IKOs and monitor individual and team performance
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback
- Allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives
- Identify training needs and support development of team members
Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree level in Marketing or BE.
- 6-7 years of customer service experience, preferably in freight forwarding and logistics.
- Proven experience in handling and developing business for specialized cargo, including Break Bulk / Heavy Lifts / Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC)
- Strong exposure to EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) customers and project-based logistics solutions
- Experience engaging with sector-specific customer segments such as: Industrial & Engineering Companies (IEC), Mining, Data Centers and Semiconductor (Semi-Con)
- Demonstrated capability across both commercial (Business Development) and operational understanding of project logistics and specialized cargo is essential.
