Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding & CHA) based in Mumbai, India. The Business Development Manager will actively identify and secure new clients, foster strong client relationships, and develop strategies to grow the business. Responsibilities include market research, preparing business proposals, negotiating contracts, and meeting sales targets. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery and maintaining a deep understanding of industry trends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Business Development, Client Acquisition, and Strategic Planning, ideally in the Freight Forwarding or CHA domain.
- Strong knowledge of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and International Shipping processes.
- Exceptional Communication, Negotiation, and Presentation Skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration and Relationship-Building skills to foster strong partnerships internally and externally.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite, along with data analysis and reporting skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Marketing, or related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and meet challenging revenue goals.
- Industry certifications or experience with global markets and regulations are a plus.
