Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to lead business development initiatives for financial advisory and fundraising solutions. The role involves working closely with senior leadership, managing a team of business development professionals, driving client acquisition, and generating revenue through strategic relationship management and market expansion.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, excellent client relationship skills, and experience in financial products such as Credit Rating Advisory, Equity Fundraising, and Debt Syndication.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Acquire new clients and build strong long-term relationships.
- Drive business origination for credit rating and fundraising solutions.
- Identify potential clients and support their transition from unrated to rated domains.
- Assist clients in leveraging ratings for fundraising activities.
- Develop and execute geography-wise and service-wise sales strategies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and client businesses.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and train the business development team.
- Identify high-potential market segments and business opportunities.
- Drive revenue generation through new account development and key account management.
- Develop effective marketing and sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Operational Responsibilities
- Manage and guide the business development team in achieving sales targets.
- Coordinate closely with execution and support teams.
- Prepare and deliver impactful business presentations and proposals.
- Monitor market intelligence including new projects, customer opportunities, and competitive activity.
- Conduct performance monitoring and evaluation of the sales team.
- Provide regular training and development support to team members.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Contribute towards enhancing organizational effectiveness through robust marketing initiatives.
- Ensure consistent follow-through on business objectives and deliverables.
- Work directly with senior management on strategic business initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in business development, client acquisition, and relationship management.
- Exposure to financial products such as Credit Rating, Equity Raising, Debt Syndication, or Fundraising solutions.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a target-driven and revenue-focused environment.
- Experience in handling mid and large corporate clients is preferred.
Preferred Background
Candidates with experience in Credit Rating or related financial advisory domains will be preferred.
