Location: Mumbai (Work from Office)
Working Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM (Alternate Saturdays Working)
Qualification: MBA or advanced degree from top communication schools such as MICA, with certification in digital marketing preferred
Travel: Occasional travel required for client meetings
About The Role
Pivot is seeking a Business Development Manager with a proven track record in client acquisition, interfacing and retention, preferably from leading creative or digital agencies. Excellent communication and presentation skills are mandatory. The role calls for someone adept at pitching and onboarding new clients, crafting and presenting compelling proposals, retaining and growing accounts, and leading high-stakes meetings with senior client stakeholders. The ideal candidate can navigate escalations diplomatically and implement feedback quickly, driving both client satisfaction and account growth.
Role Summary
We are looking for a poised, articulate, and commercially driven professional to join our team as a Business Development Manager – Client Partnerships. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role where you will represent the agency at the front line leading conversations, shaping client perceptions, and driving long-term partnerships.
You will work closely with leadership, strategy, and execution teams to translate business challenges into impactful digital solutions. The role demands strong communication, structured thinking, and the confidence to engage with clients across levels.
What We’re Looking For
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (background in language and communications)
- Strong executive presence and confidence in client-facing environments (background in marketing, business development, sales or similar preferred)
- Ability to structure conversations, present ideas clearly, and influence outcomes
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with attention to detail and quality
- Familiarity with digital marketing and brand positioning frameworks
- High ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary relationship owner for clients, ensuring clarity, responsiveness, and consistency across all interactions
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions, representing the agency with professionalism and authority
- Develop and deliver high-quality pitch decks and presentations that clearly communicate ideas, strategies, and value
- Translate client objectives into structured briefs and align internal teams for effective execution
- Drive account planning and growth, identifying opportunities to expand scope and deepen client partnerships
- Maintain rigorous documentation including Minutes of Meeting (MoMs), communication records, and project trackers
- Ensure seamless coordination across stakeholders, managing timelines, expectations, and deliverables
- Leverage Excel for tracking and reporting, and AI-assisted tools to enhance communication and content quality
- Be willing to engage in in-person client meetings as required to strengthen relationships
- Participate in identifying new client partnerships
- Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand

- Experience in a digital agency as business development manager or from a client facing environment
