Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth in our IT services and consulting business, with a strong focus on Government sector engagements. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in working with Government Departments, handling end-to-end business development, and managing large-scale opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and generate new business opportunities in IT services and consulting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Understand client requirements and propose suitable IT solutions and services.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal submission, negotiation, and closure.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, delivery, and marketing) to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking meets, and conferences.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in business development/sales within IT services or consulting companies.
- Proven experience in working with Government Departments and handling public sector projects.
- Strong understanding of Government procurement processes, tenders, and bidding (RFP/RFQ).
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of IT services such as software development, cloud solutions, digital transformation, etc.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
