Job details:
Company Description VAAG is building an integrated post-harvest platform to address major inefficiencies in India’s agricultural supply chain, where significant produce is lost due to gaps in storage, finance, and market access. The company combines IoT-enabled smart warehousing, inventory-backed agri finance, real-time mandi price intelligence, and direct market linkages on a single digital platform. Through this ecosystem, farmers, FPOs, and warehouses gain improved visibility, control, and data-driven decision-making, turning stored inventory into a financial asset rather than a distress sale. VAAG’s core mission is to reduce post-harvest losses, increase farmer incomes, and create a smarter, more transparent agricultural ecosystem in India.
Role Description The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and managing relationships with farmers, FPOs, warehouse partners, and institutional clients, and driving adoption of VAAG’s post-harvest solutions. This full-time on-site role, based in Nellore, includes conducting market research, managing local outreach and partnerships, and presenting VAAG’s value proposition to stakeholders. The individual will coordinate with internal product, operations, and finance teams to design solutions tailored to client needs, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure smooth onboarding. The role also involves tracking sales pipelines, reporting on performance metrics, and contributing feedback to improve offerings and customer experience.
