Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and expanding market presence for UNICARE’s sanitization and disinfection services. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating contracts. The role also involves collaborating with operations and service teams to ensure client requirements are met, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and providing regular reports and forecasts to management. The Business Development Manager will work to achieve sales targets, support marketing initiatives, and represent the company professionally in all external interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals.
- Proficiency in client relationship management, with the ability to build long-term partnerships and deliver excellent customer service.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain services clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze market trends, understand competitors, and identify new opportunities in facility management and hygiene services.
- Experience in facility management, cleaning services, or related industries is an advantage.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office, and digital channels to support sales and reporting activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Willingness to travel locally within Chennai and nearby areas for client meetings and site visits.
