Core Responsibilities
- Establish, coordinate, and maintain relationships with local banks, PSPs, payment channels, and gateway partners in India.
- Assist partners with due diligence processes, including KYC verification, corporate documentation review, and bank settlement information collection.
- Accompany the business development and operations teams to meetings, providing on-site communication support and interpretation when necessary.
- Follow up on channel onboarding and implementation, and manage ongoing relationship maintenance with partners.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Indias local payments industry, banking sector, PSPs, or other financial institutions.
- Candidates with prior experience at banks, large PSP companies, or established payment institutions will be given preference.
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess directly accessible resources within local banks or payment channels.
- Strong understanding of the Indian payment ecosystem, including:
- Local bank partnership models
- Clearing and reconciliation processes
- Operational logic of PSPs and upstream payment channels
- Language requirements:
- Good command of English/Chinese
- Fluency in the local language
- English proficiency sufficient for daily business communication
- Willingness to conduct frequent on-site visits, with strong coordination skills and the ability to handle unexpected issues effectively.
