Role Description
Skillofy_AI is seeking a seasoned and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with deep rooted expertise in the Higher Education sector to spearhead high-volume individual revenue growth across B2C and institutional segments. This is a high-ownership individual contributor role designed for a proven sales professional who brings 7+ years of sales experience — with at least 4 years in Higher Education, EdTech, or University partnerships. The BDM will drive high-value learner enrollments, build institutional relationships, and collaborate cross functionally to scale Skillofy_AI's presence in the education market. The ideal candidate deeply understands the nuances of counseling career-focused learners, navigating university partnerships, and closing consultative deals at significant scale.
Qualifications
Must-Have
• Minimum 7 years of total experience in sales — with at least 4 years in Higher Education, EdTech, or University/College partnerships (mandatory)
• Proven track record in B2C and institutional B2B sales with consistent achievement of high-volume monthly revenue targets
• Deep understanding of the Higher Education ecosystem — universities, colleges, placement cells, corporate training, and academic partnerships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — confident in consultative selling, presentations, and institutional negotiations
• Strong CRM proficiency — ability to maintain 100% funnel hygiene and accurate revenue forecasting
• Self-motivated, remote-ready mindset with high accountability and independent execution capability
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Good to Have
• Experience in EdTech platforms, SaaS, or digital learning marketplace sales
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Zoho CRM, Salesforce, LeadSquared, or similar platforms
• Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or advanced digital lead generation techniques
• Understanding of Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or tech-based education programs
• MBA or advanced degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline
• Existing network within Higher Education institutions — colleges, universities, and training bodies
