Job Description: Business Development Manager / Government Sales Representative
📍 Location: Kolkata / Patna / Bhubaneswar / Guwahati (One position per state)
🕒 Experience: 2 to 4 years
🎓 Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing/Business Development) preferred.
Role Summary
This role focuses on driving business growth in the government and public sector ecosystem, working closely with State Departments, PSUs, Smart Cities, and key stakeholders to identify and close IT & Digital Transformation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify opportunities within government departments & PSUs
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and procurement authorities
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle – from lead generation to closure
- Track tenders, RFPs, and state-level digital initiatives
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations
- Collaborate with System Integrators, OEMs, and partners
What We're Looking For:
- 2–4 years of experience in Government / IT / Enterprise Sales
- Strong understanding of GeM, CPPP, Tendering & RFP processes
- Experience in selling IT solutions (Cloud, Cybersecurity, AI, Digital Transformation, etc.)
- Existing government network (preferred)
- Strong communication, negotiation & relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned state
Language Requirement
- Bengali (West Bengal) – Mandatory
- Hindi (Bihar) – Mandatory
- Odia / Assamese – Preferred
