About RelayAI
RelayAI is a WhatsApp-native AI recruitment agent built for the Indian staffing industry. Our AI recruiter, Riya, automates candidate sourcing, screening, and coordination — helping staffing agencies place candidates 3x faster without adding headcount. We're early-stage, fast-moving, and run by a team with deep consumer tech operator experience.
The Role
We're looking for a hungry, scrappy Business Development Manager who can own our go-to-market from zero to one. You'll be the tip of the spear — identifying staffing agency prospects, running outreach, closing pilots, and iterating on our sales playbook. This is not a playbook-execution role; you'll be building the playbook.

Focus: B2B Sales to Indian and International Staffing Agencies
What You'll Do
Pipeline & Outreach
Own end-to-end outreach to staffing agencies across India and International markets — from Apollo/LinkedIn prospecting to cold email and WhatsApp sequences
Run 30–50 personalised outreaches per week; iterate on messaging based on response rates
Qualify inbound leads and turn discovery calls into pilot agreements
Sales & Closing
Conduct product demos of Riya (our WhatsApp AI recruiter) with agency owners and placement managers
Negotiate and close success-fee pilot agreements; manage the transition to paying customers
Handle objections, follow-ups, and deal cycles end-to-end with minimal hand-holding
Customer & Market Intelligence
Maintain tight feedback loops with pilot customers to surface product gaps and prioritise features
Map the Indian and International staffing agency landscape — by vertical, geography, and deal size
Track competitor positioning and share weekly intelligence with the founding team
Playbook Building
Document what works: email templates, call scripts, demo flows, objection handling
Collaborate with the founders to set up CRM hygiene, outreach cadences, and reporting dashboards
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
2–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in SaaS, HR tech, or staffing
Proven track record of independently running outbound campaigns and closing deals in domestic and international markets
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi
Comfortable with ambiguity — you don't need a manager to tell you what to do next
Strong Plusses
Prior experience selling to or working inside staffing/recruitment agencies
Hands-on with tools like Apollo, Waalaxy, HeyReach, Lemlist, or similar outreach platforms
Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API or conversational AI products
Startup experience — you've built things from scratch before
