Primary Respossibility
The primary responsibility of the Manager – Business Development & Account Management is to drive business growth for Opstrah Consulting by:
- Generating new business opportunities
- Developing and nurturing client relationships
- Managing leads and converting prospects into projects
- Acting as the face of the organization during client interactions
- Supporting account management for ongoing projects
- Coordinating between clients and operations teams during project initiation
- Ensuring smooth handover of projects to the operations team
- Contributing towards customer satisfaction, repeat business, and overall organizational growth
This role demands strong communication skills, relationship-building capabilities, presentation abilities, commercial understanding, and a consultative sales approach.
Core Responsibilities
1. Business Development
The role holder shall actively contribute towards revenue generation for the organization through:
- Identifying potential business opportunities
- Generating qualified leads
- Meeting prospective clients
- Conducting presentations and capability discussions
- Understanding client requirements
- Building business relationships with decision makers
- Participating in networking opportunities and industry meetings
- Supporting proposal discussions and commercial negotiations

2. Lead Management & Opportunity Nurturing
The role holder shall:
- Maintain and manage lead pipelines
- Follow up regularly with prospects
- Track proposal status and discussions
- Ensure timely communication with clients
- Coordinate internally for proposal submissions
- Maintain proper opportunity records and documentation
- Update management on business development progress
- Work towards improving conversion efficiency
The role requires patience, persistence, structured follow-up, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
3. Client Relationship Management
The role holder shall act as a relationship manager for clients by:
- Maintaining healthy client relationships
- Being responsive and solution oriented
- Supporting clients during project discussions
- Ensuring smooth communication between Opstrah and the client
- Identifying concerns and escalating issues internally
- Supporting customer satisfaction initiatives
- Building long-term business relationships

4. Project Interface & Coordination
The role holder shall act as the initial business interface for projects till formal handover to the operations team.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating initial client discussions
- Scheduling and managing meetings
- Supporting requirement understanding
- Assisting in communication between clients and operations teams
- Handholding the project through initial stages
- Ensuring proper transition to the operations team
- Supporting issue resolution during early project phases
- Maintaining coordination until operational ownership is fully established
The role holder is expected to ensure professional communication and alignment between all stakeholders.
5. Account Management for Existing Projects
The role holder shall maintain engagement with ongoing projects and existing clients by:
- Maintaining periodic communication
- Understanding client satisfaction levels
- Identifying business expansion opportunities
- Supporting issue escalation and resolution
- Ensuring relationship continuity
- Coordinating internally for client support requirements
- Supporting retention and repeat business development
6. Documentation & Process Compliance
The role holder shall:
- Collect Work Orders (WO) and Purchase Orders (PO)
- Ensure all business documents are maintained as per internal processes
- Coordinate for approvals and documentation requirements
- Maintain project and client records
- Support proposal tracking and commercial documentation
- Ensure organized documentation management
- Follow organizational reporting and communication systems
7. Presentation & Communication Responsibilities
The role demands strong communication and presentation skills.
The role holder shall:
- Prepare professional presentations
- Present organizational capabilities effectively
- Conduct client presentations confidently
- Communicate project requirements clearly
- Represent the organization professionally during meetings
- Support proposal presentations and discussions
