The Role
You will be our first dedicated sales hire. You'll own the full pipeline — from prospecting brand managers and digital heads at pharma companies to closing deals. No hand-holding, no warm leads handed to you.
The person we're looking for has sat across the table from pharma — not inside it. You've sold to pharma marketing and medical teams. You understand how they think, how they buy, and how to navigate their internal politics to get a deal done.
If you're used to waiting for inbound leads or relying on a large brand name to get meetings — this isn't the right fit.
What You Will Do
→ Own outbound prospecting to brand managers, digital leads, and marketing heads at top Indian pharma companies
→ Pitch OneRX as a physician engagement and sponsored content channel to oncology and specialty pharma brands
→ Run the full sales cycle — discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, closure — independently
→ Build and manage a pipeline of ₹50L–₹2Cr+ deals; report weekly on progress, blockers, and learnings
→ Work directly with the founder to shape pricing, packaging, and GTM based on what you hear in the field
→ Attend CME events, oncology conferences, and medical society meetups to build relationships with the right pharma stakeholders
→ Expand accounts post-close — upsell analytics, white-label modules, and multi-brand deals
What We are Looking For
→ 5–6 years in a role where pharma companies were your customer — not your employer
→ Backgrounds we love: medical media, health-tech SaaS, CME platforms, medical devices, diagnostics, health data firms, physician networks, medical publishing, hospital networks selling to pharma
→ Existing relationships with brand managers, digital marketing heads, or medical affairs teams at mid-to-large Indian pharma companies — relationships you can pick up the phone and use today
→ Demonstrated ability to close deals independently — we'll ask for specifics on deal sizes, cycles, and outcomes
→ Comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder pharma deals across marketing, medical, compliance, and procurement
→ Startup mindset: scrappy, resourceful, doesn't need a big team or playbook to get started
This Role Is NOT For You If
→ You've only sold for large agencies or CROs where the brand does the selling for you
→ You need an SDR team or heavy marketing support to generate leads → Your experience is in pharma field force, MR management, or traditional detailing
→ You've never personally closed a deal above ₹25L where pharma was the paying customer
