Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Prayagraj. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers, developing relationships with channel partners, and driving sales of Niva Bupa’s health insurance products in the region. Daily tasks include prospecting and generating leads, conducting meetings and presentations, understanding customer needs, and recommending suitable insurance solutions in line with company guidelines. The role involves achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets, tracking pipeline and conversion metrics, and providing regular market and competitor feedback to internal stakeholders. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with operations, underwriting, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in business development, sales planning, and pipeline management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong relationship-building, client servicing, and stakeholder management abilities, including experience working with channel partners, agents, or distributors.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain health insurance products clearly and handle objections professionally.
- Solid understanding of health insurance, financial services, or related domains; familiarity with local Prayagraj market dynamics is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze sales data, monitor performance metrics, and derive insights to improve conversion and retention.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented work style, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications in insurance or financial services are a plus.
