Role Description The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the aerospace and aviation sectors, with a focus on government organizations, OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers. This full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru North includes managing customer relationships, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions. Daily activities involve market research, sales pipeline management, forecasting, and participation in industry events to expand brand presence. The Business Development Manager will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities and support long-term strategic growth. The role also includes monitoring competitor activities, providing input on pricing strategies, and contributing to business planning.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, and account management skills in manufacturing, aerospace, or related industries.
- Experience in customer relationship management, negotiation, and contract management with government and corporate clients.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and develop growth strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Solid understanding of aerospace components, CNC machining, and precision manufacturing processes (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience engaging with government agencies, PSUs, or defense organizations is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and basic data analysis for reporting and forecasting.
