Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and manage a sales pipeline, and drive end-to-end deal cycles from prospecting to contract closure. The role involves researching target markets, engaging decision-makers via email, phone, and virtual meetings, delivering tailored presentations, and coordinating product or capability demos with internal teams. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with marketing and delivery leaders to refine value propositions, craft proposals, and ensure smooth handoff from sales to delivery. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate CRM records, tracking metrics, forecasting revenue, and providing feedback on market trends and customer needs to inform strategy.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and deal negotiation.
- Account management and relationship-building skills to nurture long-term client partnerships.
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Market research and analytical skills to understand customer needs, competition, and industry trends.
- Familiarity with software development, SaaS, or technology services; experience with AI-enabled or outsourced engineering teams is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales productivity tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms).
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in IT services, consulting, or software outsourcing.
