Job Description: Business Development Manager (BDM) – Alliances & Healthcare Partnerships

Sunshine by Lissun is a pioneer in multidisciplinary Child Development Centers (CDCs) across India. We provide holistic, evidence-based care—including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, ABA Therapy, Special Education, and Developmental Assessments—for children navigating neurodevelopmental and behavioral challenges. Our mission is to ensure every child gets the right early intervention at the right time.
We are looking for a high-energy, empathetic, and target-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our local alliance and lead-generation efforts. In this field-intensive role, you will build and maintain strategic referral pipelines by partnering with Pediatricians, Developmental Doctors, Pre-schools, Daycares, and Early Childhood Educators.
Your goal is to raise awareness about early developmental milestones and position Sunshine by Lissun as the trusted referral partner for early childhood support.
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Medical & Healthcare Outreach (Pediatricians & Doctors)
- Build and nurture strong referral networks with Pediatricians, General Physicians, Neurologists, and Clinical Psychologists.
- Conduct regular field visits, present our clinical capabilities, and introduce Sunshine's assessment and therapy frameworks.
- Secure consistent patient referrals from doctors for early-stage developmental screenings and therapies.
- 2. Educational Alliances (Pre-Schools & Daycares)
- Establish formal tie-ups with pre-schools, playschools, daycares, and Montessori institutions.
- Pitch and execute on-campus Developmental Screening Camps, Teacher Workshops, and Parent Awareness Seminars on early intervention.
- Train school counselors and teachers to spot early indicators (speech delays, motor issues, behavioral concerns) and guide parents to Sunshine.
- 3. Lead Generation & Conversion Pipeline
- Drive qualified direct leads (inquiries and assessment bookings) through field efforts and institutional partnerships.
- Act as the brand ambassador at local pediatric conferences, educational expos, and community awareness events.
- Collaborate with the center’s clinical team and intake counselors to ensure a seamless transition for referred families from initial query to therapy enrollment.
- 4. Relationship Management & Reporting
- Maintain a structured CRM/database of healthcare providers, school principals, and referral sources.
- Track conversion metrics, partner productivity, and monthly lead targets.
- Regularly gather partner feedback to help refine our outreach campaigns and value propositions.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of active, recurring doctor & pediatrician referral channels established per month.
- Number of school screening camps and awareness sessions conducted.
- Volume of qualified parent leads and direct assessment bookings generated through partner channels.
- Qualifications & Skills Required
- Experience: 2–5 years in B2B sales, healthcare field outreach, pharmaceutical sales, or educational sales (preference for candidate with experience in healthcare/pharma, pediatric outreach, or early-education alliances).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with an ability to communicate effectively with doctors, school directors, and parents alike.
- Empathy & Sensitivities: Strong understanding of early childhood care, neurodiversity, and parental sensitivities around developmental delays.
- Mindset: Proactive, field-ready, self-driven, and result-orientated with a strong closing ability.
- Mobility: Comfort with daily local travel across assigned hospital/clinic clusters and school zones.
