About the role
iMarketo helps small and mid-sized businesses across the US and Canada run smarter marketing operations, increasingly powered by marketing automation infrastructure. We're looking for a Sales/BD Manager who can own the full sales motion, from prospecting through close, working directly with North American SMB owners and decision-makers.
This is a consultative sales role, not a script-reading one. You'll be selling marketing strategy and outcomes, so you need to genuinely understand how agencies create value for clients.
What you'll do
You'll build and manage a pipeline of qualified SMB prospects across target verticals such as home and trade services, healthcare, and real estate. You'll run discovery conversations that uncover real marketing pain points, then translate those into tailored proposals and service recommendations. You'll own outreach across LinkedIn and email, manage your CRM diligently, and carry a monthly revenue target. Over time you'll also help refine our outreach playbooks and sales process as we scale.
What we're looking for
The right person has spent time inside a marketing agency or digital services company and understands how that business actually works: retainers, scopes, client expectations, and the gap between what clients ask for and what they need. You're comfortable selling to North American clients and can hold a credible business conversation with a US or Canadian SMB owner. You're articulate in written and spoken English, organized enough to run your own pipeline without hand-holding, and genuinely willing to work US hours on a consistent basis.
Must-haves
- 3 to 6 years in sales or business development, with at least 2 years in a marketing or digital agency setting
- Demonstrated comfort selling to US or Canadian clients
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts aligned to US time zones
- Hands-on CRM experience and disciplined pipeline management
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (GoHighLevel experience is a strong plus)
- Experience selling to SMBs in home services, trade services, healthcare, or real estate
- Track record of carrying and hitting a revenue quota
