About Gokul Gourmet
Gokul Gourmet is a premium mithai and gourmet gifting brand based in Kolkata, with a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and retail presence in Kolkata .
We are now expanding our institutional and corporate sales channel — supplying to 5-star hotels, standalone banquet halls, event managers & corporate clients — and are looking for a driven, well-connected Business Development Manager to lead this growth.
The Role
This is a high-visibility, relationship-driven sales role. You will be the face of Gokul Gourmet in Kolkata's hospitality and corporate circles — building partnerships with purchase managers, event planners, and corporate procurement teams. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure and account management.
This is not a desk job. We are looking for someone who thrives on meeting people, building relationships, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and approach 5-star hotels, boutique hotels, standalone banquet halls, and corporate offices in Kolkata for sweet supply partnerships
• Build and nurture relationships with F&B purchase managers, event managers, and corporate procurement teams
• Present Gokul Gourmet products and arrange sample tastings at target accounts
• Convert leads into regular supply accounts with monthly or event-based orders
• Manage and grow the corporate gifting business — Diwali, Durga Puja, Christmas, and other festive seasons
• Negotiate pricing, order terms, and delivery schedules with institutional clients
• Maintain a structured account tracker and provide regular sales reports to the owner
• Represent Gokul Gourmet at trade events, hospitality meets, and networking forums
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with:
• Prior experience in sales or business development dealing with 5-star hotels, banquet halls,wedding planners or corporate clients — ideally in hospitality, FMCG, or food & beverage
• An existing network of contacts in hotel F&B, banquet management, or corporate procurement in Kolkata — this will be a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bengali — confident, well-presented, and comfortable in premium hospitality environments
• A self-starter attitude — ability to plan her own schedule, follow up persistently, and close independently
• Strong organisational skills — maintains records, tracks leads, and reports clearly
• A genuine passion for food and an ability to speak about our products with knowledge and enthusiasm
