Role Description
FusionStays is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager for an on-site role located in West Bengal, India. We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales and partnerships for our travel business. The role involves handling Kolkata-based leads, converting them into bookings for curated weekend getaways, and building strong relationships with hotels, resorts, and homestays in nearby destinations. This is a field-intensive role combined with sales, requiring both customer-facing and on ground partnership development.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and convert inbound/outbound leads from Kolkata for weekend travel packages
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable travel packages
- Actively influence and close bookings through consultative selling
- Travel to nearby weekend destinations (within and around Kolkata) to:
o Onboard new hotels, resorts, and homestays
o Strengthening relationships with existing partners
o Ensure quality standards and inventory availability
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth booking and operations
- Maintain a strong pipeline of both B2C (customers) and B2B (property partners)
- Achieve monthly sales and partnership targets
Mandatory Requirements
• Must own a 2-wheeler or 4-wheeler (petrol expenses will be reimbursed by the company)
• Willingness to travel frequently for property visits and relationship building
Language Requirements
• Fluent in English (Polished & Professional)
• Strong command over Hindi
• Basic communication skills in Bengali
Candidate Profile
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in:
o Travel & tourism industry, OR
o 3-star / 4-star hotel sales, OR
o MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) background (preferred)
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Comfortable with field travel and partner visits
• Good understanding of weekend travel destinations around Kolkata
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and street-smart in execution
