Business Development Manager – Highways & Road Electrification Projects

Flash Lighting Solutions is a growing infrastructure player specialising in road electrification and highway lighting solutions. We execute turnkey projects for road‑allied works and are actively expanding our footprint across highway and EPC‑driven projects in India.
Role Description
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development professional with a strong network in the Indian highway and EPC‑ construction ecosystem to drive our expansion into large‑scale road electrification and highway lighting projects.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi for the position of Business Development Manager. The individual will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and negotiating client contracts. Additional responsibilities include conducting market research, creating sales strategies, expanding customer base, and collaborating with internal teams to meet business objectives. This is a high‑impact, revenue‑driving role where performance will be measured by pipeline creation, RFQ/RFPs generated, and conversion into orders.
Your mission: open doors with EPC contractors, highway developers, and allied agencies and convert these relationships into formal RFQs/RFPs so that we can systematically quote and win more turnkey projects.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Account Mapping
Identify, map, and engage decision‑makers and procurement heads in major highway EPC contractors, road‑construction companies, and NHAI contractors and concessionaires. Build and maintain a live EPC‑account database, tracking their project pipelines, upcoming bids, and electrification/lighting scopes.
Pitching & Relationship Building
Introduce and position our company as a specialised road electrification and highway‑lighting partner to EPCs (tendering, JV partners, subcontractors, etc.).
Explain our technical edge, execution model, and commercial value in a clear, solution‑oriented manner.
RFQ/RFP Generation
Convert interest into formal RFQs/RFPs by aligning our scope with the EPC’s design, budgeting, and tender stages.
Qualifications
- Business Development, Sales, and Customer Relationship Management skills
- Experience in Market Research, Sales Strategy, and Business Analysis
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with electrical solutions and the construction sector is preferred
- Bachelor’s / Diploma degree in Civil / Electrical Engineering or Business Marketing field.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Work Model: Field‑intensive with travel to EPC offices and project sites
