Job details:
La Maison Eterna is seeking a Business Development Manager to build and own our presence in the wedding and events gifting space. This is a relationship-first, revenue-driving role: the right person already has warm connections with wedding planners, bridal boutiques, venues, and corporate/event planning firms, and knows how to turn those relationships into recurring gifting partnerships and bulk/custom orders.
About the Role
- Build and own La Maison Eterna's presence in the wedding and events gifting space.
- A relationship-first, revenue-driving role focused on partnerships, not one-off sales.
- Ideal candidate already has warm connections with wedding planners, bridal boutiques, venues, and corporate/event planning firms.
- Turns those relationships into recurring gifting partnerships and bulk/custom orders.
What You'll Do
- Identify, pitch, and close partnerships with wedding planners, venues, bridal salons, and luxury event producers for client and guest gifting programs.
- Build a pipeline of corporate and event-planning accounts (agencies, DMCs, corporate event teams) for recurring and custom gifting orders.
- Own the full BD cycle: prospecting, relationship-building, proposals, negotiation, and close, with a focus on long-term repeat accounts over one-off sales.
- Represent La Maison Eterna at industry events, bridal shows, and trade association gatherings to build brand presence and generate leads.
- Collaborate with the founder/product team on custom gifting collections and pricing for high-value partners.
- Track pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on partnership performance.
What You Bring
- 3-7+ years in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally within weddings, luxury events, hospitality, or gifting/retail.
- An existing network of relationships in the wedding industry (planners, venues, bridal boutiques) and/or the corporate events industry (event agencies, DMCs, corporate planners).
- Track record of sourcing and closing partnership or B2B deals, not just managing inbound leads.
- Comfort with a luxury, relationship-driven sales motion; this is high-touch, not high-volume.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; polished, brand-appropriate presence for client-facing and event settings.
- Self-starter comfortable in an early-stage/small-brand environment with direct founder access.
Nice to Have
- Existing membership or active involvement in WIPA, ABC, ILEA, MPI, or similar industry associations.
- Experience selling into bridal registries, wedding favors/welcome gifts, or corporate client gifting programs specifically.
- A personal book of contacts that could be activated in the first 90 days.
