Job Description :-We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager (Upwork) with strong experience in IT service sales through Upwork and other freelancing platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for lead generation, client acquisition, and revenue growth by effectively managing Upwork profiles and converting opportunities into long-term business.
Key Responsibilities :-- Identify and bid on relevant projects on Upwork and other freelancing platforms
- Write high-quality proposals and customize them as per client requirements
- Generate leads through Upwork, LinkedIn, Apollo, Lusha, and other channels
- Handle end-to-end sales cycle including client communication, requirement gathering, negotiations, and deal closure
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper understanding of project requirements
- Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets
- Maintain Upwork profile performance (ratings, response time, conversions)
Requirements :- - 2–8 years of experience in Upwork bidding and IT service sales
- Proven track record of successful deal closures via Upwork
- Strong understanding of IT services (Web, Mobile, AI/ML, Digital Marketing, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and client-handling skills
- Ability to work onsite in Mohali
Good to Have :- - Experience with tools like CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Lusha
- Knowledge of international markets (US/UK clients)
- Experience working with night shift or flexible hours
