Job Description: Business Development Associate (BDA) - EdTech
Overview: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Associate (BDA) to join our dynamic team focused on selling hardware and software EdTech products to schools. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology to enhance educational experiences and will possess strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with school administrators and decision-makers.
Responsibilities:
1.Sales Strategy Development:
-Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets within assigned territory.
-Identify key decision-makers in schools and districts and establish relationships to promote our EdTech products.
2.Product Promotion:
-Educate potential customers about the features and benefits of our hardware and software solutions.
-Conduct product demonstrations and presentations both in-person and virtually.
3.Lead Generation and Prospecting:
-Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
-Qualify leads and manage sales pipeline effectively using CRM software.
4.Negotiation and Closing:
-Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements with schools and districts.
-Close sales and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
5.Customer Relationship Management:
-Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
-Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction post-sale.
6.Market Research:
-Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in EdTech.
-Analyze market data to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or related field.
-Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the EdTech industry.
-Familiarity with educational hardware (e.g., interactive displays, tablets) and software (e.g., learning management systems, educational apps).
-Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Goal-oriented with a strong drive to succeed and exceed sales targets.
-Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
