Role Description The Business Development Manager role at Chem Fert Chemicals is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The individual in this role will identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil and gas drilling fluid sector, manage existing client relationships, and expand the company’s market presence. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating contracts aligned with company guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and technical support, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, and providing regular sales forecasts and performance reports. The Business Development Manager is expected to represent the company professionally at industry events and support strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Knowledge of drilling fluids, mud chemicals, and oil and gas field operations, or experience in related industrial or chemical sectors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in basic business software (e.g., CRM tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software) and ability to prepare accurate reports and forecasts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or a related field; relevant industry certifications or technical training are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on-site, manage multiple priorities, and meet sales and growth targets.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events as required.
