Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across engineering, manufacturing, and R&D sectors
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Prospect potential clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital platforms
- Understand customer design and simulation requirements (CAD/CAE/CFD) and position suitable solutions
- Deliver impactful product presentations and business-focused demos
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and track opportunities
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Collaborate with pre-sales/technical teams for solution alignment and proposal development
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and RFP/RFQ responses
- Use CRM tools like Salesforce CRM or Zoho CRM to track sales activities and forecast revenue
- Conduct market research and identify new industry trends and opportunities
- Participate in exhibitions, technical seminars, and industry events for brand visibility
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and drive repeat business and upselling opportunities
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE/B.Tech) – Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace or related field
- MBA in Sales / Marketing – Preferred
- Basic knowledge of CAD / Simulation tools such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, PTC Creo is an added advantage
- 1–6 years of experience in Business Development / Technical Sales / Software Sales
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
