Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for overseeing multiple Business Development Team Lead (BDTL) units, ensuring alignment of team performance with organizational revenue goals. This is a strategic leadership role requiring strong expertise in team management, process optimization, and business growth within the EdTech industry. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimise lead generation strategies across teams to ensure a robust and scalable pipeline.
- Oversee multiple BDTL-led teams and ensure overall revenue targets are consistently achieved.
- Define, implement, and continuously refine sales strategies to improve team and individual performance.
- Monitor and optimise team productivity, lead conversion rates, and revenue contribution.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership on growth planning, hiring decisions, and operational execution.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement structured improvements across teams.
- Prepare and present performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Foster a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous learning across the business development function.
Requirements & Expectations:
- Proven experience in managing multiple sales teams and delivering revenue outcomes at scale.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making, with comfort working with KPIs and sales analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Clear ownership of revenue targets across multiple teams and cohorts.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Prior experience in the EdTech sector is an advantage.
