Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai or Delhi, for a Business Development Manager. The person in this role will identify and cultivate new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and develop strategic plans to enhance revenue and market presence. Responsibilities include prospecting potential clients, closing contracts, conducting competitive market analyses, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction. The Business Development Manager will also stay abreast of industry trends to formulate innovative solutions tailored to client needs and drive sustainable business growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, client relationship management, and sales strategy execution
- Strong understanding of logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain management processes
- Ability to conduct competitive analyses and identify emerging market opportunities
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) tools and business analysis software
- Analytical mindset to assess business performance and develop improvement strategies
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an MBA is a plus
- Prior experience in the logistics or transportation industry is highly desirable
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
