Big Bang Boom Solutions (BBBS) is a Chennai-based deep-tech defence startup focused on developing indigenous defence and security technologies. It operates as a defence solutions integrator that builds advanced systems in areas such as artificial intelligence, UAS/drone technology, electronic warfare, material science, propulsion, communication systems, and data security, aiming to create intellectual property for national defence applications.
BBBS develops products such as anti-drone defence systems, see-through armour interfaces, smart surveillance platforms, and other custom defence technologies. The company has participated in and won multiple iDEX challenges sponsored by the Indian Ministry of Defence, receiving government grants and contracts
Role Overview
We are seeking dynamic and driven Business Development Managers to expand our footprint in the Electronic Warfare domain. The role involves extensive field engagement with defence and law enforcement units to identify operational gaps, build relationships, and drive adoption of our solutions.
This is a high-impact, field-oriented role requiring strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and an understanding of defence procurement and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Generation & Market Development
- Engage with units across the Army, Navy, Air Force, CAPFs, and State Police
- Identify operational needs and align them with company offerings
- Create and nurture demand pipelines for EW products
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within defence and police organizations
- Coordinate product demonstrations, trials, and technical presentations
- Opportunity Management
- Track upcoming procurement programs, RFIs, RFPs, and tenders
- Work closely with internal teams (technical, strategy, leadership) to shape bids and proposals
- Field Intelligence & Feedback
- Gather insights on competitor offerings, evolving threats, and customer requirements
- Provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams
- Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to customize solutions
- Support contract negotiations and closure
Key Requirements
- Experience:
- 4–10 years in business development / sales in defence, aerospace, or homeland security
- Prior experience working with Armed Forces / Police / Government stakeholders is highly preferred
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree ( Engineering in Mechanical, Electronics preferred)
- MBA is a plus
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of defence ecosystem and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate independently in a field-intensive role
- Strategic thinking with execution focus
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively across India
