Job Description:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, cultivating, and converting business opportunities in the Project Management Services and Design & Build Solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your industry knowledge, network, and sales acumen to generate new leads, nurture client relationships, and secure project management consultancy contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
● Utilize your understanding of project management services in the construction industry to identify and target prospective clients in commercial, industrial, hospital, institutional, and interior fit out sectors.
● Passionate about connecting and meeting people along with effective communication to build long-term relationships.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations to understand their project management needs and position our services effectively.
Focus on Design and Build Services:
● Build a robust network within the design and build industry, particularly focusing on commercial office spaces.
● Identify clients in need of design and build services, understand their requirements, and offer tailored project management solutions to meet their needs.
Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
● Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the South India region.
● Utilize your knowledge of the local geography and industry landscape to strategically target high-potential clients and sectors.
Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
● Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
● Collaborate with internal teams, including project management and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services and exceed client expectations.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management, preferably in the PMC / D&B construction industry.
● Proven track record of success in generating new business and meeting sales targets.
● Strong understanding of project management services in the construction sector, with experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
● Extensive network and connections within the design and build industry in the South India region.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple project closures simultaneously.
● Proficiency in MS Office.
● Willingness to travel as needed.
