About the role
As Business Development Manager for Tiruppur, you will be responsible for identifying, contacting, educating, and onboarding knitwear and cotton manufacturers / suppliers onto Complexity.
You will work directly with local manufacturers to explain how Complexity works and help them create high-quality company profiles that clearly present their products and capabilities.
This role requires strong communication, local market knowledge, trust-building ability, and the discipline to help suppliers present their businesses professionally.
Responsibilities
- Identify and reach out to knitwear, cotton, textile, garment, and related suppliers in Tiruppur
- Explain Complexity’s platform, value proposition, and onboarding process to manufacturers
- Visit, call, and communicate with suppliers to build trust and encourage participation
- Assist suppliers in creating complete, high-quality company profiles
- Help collect and organize company information, product details, catalogs, photos, and videos
- Support suppliers in presenting their capabilities clearly and professionally
- Coordinate with suppliers who need help capturing photos, videos, or product/catalog information
- Ensure onboarded company profiles meet Complexity’s quality standards
- Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers during the onboarding process
- Report progress, supplier feedback, and market insights
You should have
- Strong knowledge of Tiruppur’s knitwear, cotton, textile, garment, or supplier ecosystem
- Experience in business development, sales, supplier relations, sourcing, or field onboarding
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain digital platforms in a simple and practical way
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working independently and managing supplier follow-ups
- Ability to build trust with manufacturers, factory owners, exporters, and business operators
- Professionalism, persistence, and exceptional execution discipline
Bonus points
- Existing network of manufacturers, suppliers, exporters, or factory owners in Tiruppur
- Experience working with textile, garment, cotton, knitwear, or apparel businesses
- English proficiency

Location & hours
Based in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu
Standard working hours, Monday through Friday
Supplier visits, calls, and in-person meetings will be required depending on the onboarding process
Compensation
300-700 USD per month
Performance-based bonuses
